Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. The game was released in November 2019, the game is set in the vast Star Wars universe, falling chronologically between the events of the films “Revenge of the Sith” and "A new hope". Players take on the role of Cal Kestis, a young Padawan who survived the Jedi purge after Order 66. The plot follows Cal's journey as he fights to rebuild the Jedi Order, facing the dangers of the Galactic Empire and unraveling ancient mysteries of the Force.

At the beginning of the plot, Cal lives in hiding on the planet Bracca, working as a scrap dealer and trying to keep a low profile to avoid the attention of the Empire. Cal's routine changes drastically when he is forced to use his Force powers to save a friend, attracting the attention of the Empire's Inquisitors, an elite force trained to hunt down surviving Jedi. The Second Sister, a ruthless Inquisitor, soon discovers Cal's whereabouts, forcing him to flee.

Cal is rescued by ex-Jedi Cere Junda and pilot Greez Dritus. Together, they board the Mantis ship on a mission to find a Jedi holocron that contains a list of Force-sensitive children. Cere's intention is to use this list to rebuild the Jedi Order. Their journey takes them to several iconic planets from the Star Wars universe, including Kashyyyk, Dathomir and Zeffo, each with their own challenges, enemies and environments.

He learns more about himself and the nature of the Force, rediscovering his connection to it and maturing as a Jedi. The narrative is rich in twists and exciting encounters, such as the battle against the fearsome Second Sister and the discovery of ancient secrets in the Zeffo temples. The story culminates in an epic showdown that tests Cal's skills and resolve.

With an engaging mix of dynamic combat, exploration across varied worlds, and a swinging narrative, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order offers an immersive experience that captivates both fans of the saga and adventure game enthusiasts. The game stands out for its impressive graphics, authentic sound effects and gameplay that combines elements of traditional action games with mechanics inspired by titles such as “Hogwarts Legacy”, “Uncharted”, “Assassin's Creed” and many others.

The lighting in the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is exceptional, contributing to an impeccable and diverse ambiance. Each explored planet has its own visual identity, with light effects that highlight the beauty and mystery of each location. The sound effects are of high quality, from the sound of lightsabers to ambient noises, which enrich the immersion. The soundtrack is faithful to the Star Wars films, bringing a familiar and exciting feeling to fans of the series.

The characters are well developed, with distinct personalities that add depth to the narrative. The game notes are an excellent addition, helping to understand the plot and the planets visited, as well as offering useful tips on how to fight enemies. Enemies are varied and present unique challenges, requiring different strategies to defeat. New skills are unlocked in a natural and practical way, integrating perfectly into the narrative and becoming essential tools for progressing in the game.

One of the negative aspects of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the respawn of enemies after meditation, which can break immersion and reduce the game's realism. The game suffers from some crashes during transitions and errors when loading textures, which can disrupt the player's experience. Furthermore, I believe that the plot presents an oscillation, starting with a promise of great development, but losing strength in the middle of the game. Fortunately, the ending restores its initial splendor, but this variation may frustrate some players along the way.
