After fourteen years of the last Indiana Jones film, its sequel was finally released, the illustrious Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny. The film is the first in the franchise that is not supervised by Steven Spielberg, nor does it have a narrative conceived by George Lucas, whose duties are limited to production. The protagonist is Harrison Ford, who resumes his role as Indiana Jones, with the cast also consisting of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Toby Jones and Antonio Banderas.

The history of Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny Set in 1969, American archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones lives in the backdrop of the Space Race. This is a cool fact, as it shows people “living” the future, being interested in the future, and Indy continues to look to the past. Also, Indy Jones is concerned that the US government has recruited former Nazis to help beat the Soviet Union in the competition to get into space. His goddaughter, Helena, accompanies him on his journey. Meanwhile, Jürgen Voller, a NASA member and former Nazi involved with the moon landing program, wants to recover a historic artifact that can go back in time and change the course of history, that is, make the world a better place as it was. he thinks better.

I'm a big fan of Indiana Jones, in my case it all started with the LEGO Indiana Jones game for the PlayStation 2, LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, after that game marked my childhood I tried to watch the movies sequentially . The film Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny received some negative reviews from most of the franchise's fan base, they claim that the film may have made the mistake of wanting to please a "progressive agenda" by praising the character Helena, causing Indy to be demoted in history and being a less independent person. I agree that in a lot of recent movies we can have something along these lines, but I can't say the same for the new Indiana Jones movie.

In Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny the protagonist of the plot is much closer to retirement than all those adventures we are used to seeing in the films of the franchise, but not that there are no moments of action with the old Indy in his new film, quite the contrary. The action is much more present in this film than in previous films, especially in the beginning, where the entire budget of the film was put into making a grandiose rejuvenation of Harrison Ford. By the way, it was a good choice to put this budget aimed at rejuvenating the actor, as it was something well done and very smooth, although it was possible to find small errors.

I will highlight to Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny its fascinating story that holds you continuously and all the ambiance that the film provides, in addition to the sensational performance of Mads Mikkelsen as Jürgen Voller who, unlike the primary enemies of Indiana Jones, is a less cartoonish and much more realistic character than we can compare with the 007 franchise where its first villains in the cinema were much more fanciful and over time this changed.

In Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny we can find a desired universe for any fan of the Indiana Jones franchise with a lot of action, funny dialogues and an Indy in need of a human connection, with the kind of hurt love that only those who have lost someone very close can understand. The film has minor flaws in the script that depend on the actors' performance to stop being an embarrassing moment, in addition to a plot that takes back Indy's interest in adventures in a very fluid way and ends triumphantly with an emotional farewell.

“I realized that the question is not what you believe, but how much you believe.” – Indy Jones
