The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic HBO series BBased on the game developed by Naughty Dog, the series tells the story of Joel, a smuggler tasked with escorting teenager Ellie in a post-apocalyptic United States. In the series there are also Joel's younger brother Tommy, resistance leader Marlene, and Joel's smuggling partner Tess. Many fans wondered if it would really be a good idea to make the series, the question was whether HBO would make a faithful adaptation of the game or if it would be another work done anyway.
The sixth episode of The Last of Us is a direct sequel to the previous episode, after all the tragedy that happened between the brothers Henry and Sam, Joel and Ellie continue their journey to meet Tommy, Joel's brother. At the beginning of the episode we come across a very comedic moment that leaves the atmosphere calmer for the viewer after everything we saw in the previous episode, but this moment doesn't last long and after coming across a group of people galloping on their horses, this moment which reminded me of many Western films, even more so with the very detailed setting of this episode.

In this meeting we can feel the distress that Joel feels at a very delicate moment in which Ellie is at risk of death. This detail is important because the two have been together for three months and their relationship continues to take new directions. In the episode we are introduced to a different version of Maria from the game, and the production chose to give us a more complete character, as she goes almost unnoticed in the game's plot.

Tommy is still alive, as in the game, but this meeting between Joel and his brother undergoes changes without leaving any trace of a lack of common sense on the part of the scriptwriters, all that peaceful life that we are presented with in the game is present and in a much more important way. attractive, in this place we can see one of the game's deepest dialogues in which Joel tries to explain to Ellie that she still doesn't know what it's like to lose someone and she does everything she can to explain to him that she only has him in that post-apocalyptic world.

The sixth episode of The Last of Us is much more focused on the relationship between Joel and Ellie, although Joel does everything he can to put this plan of finding the fireflies aside and tries to force his younger brother to do this job, Ellie exposes her feelings and this it makes Joel think more about his giving up, thus making a sentimental choice.
