Far Cry: New Dawn is a first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft. Released in February 2019, this title serves as a direct sequel to Far Cry 5, transporting players to a post-apocalyptic world full of dangers and comedic moments.

Far Cry: New Dawn transports us to a world profoundly transformed by the catastrophic events of Far Cry 5. Seventeen years after a devastating nuclear war that changed the face of the planet, the game returns to Hope County, Montana, where nature has begun to reclaim its space, but new threats have emerged from the ashes of the old world.

The plot of New Dawn is set in a vibrant and renewed, but equally dangerous world. Society began to rebuild itself, forming small communities that fight for survival and control of scarce resources. At the heart of this renaissance, we meet the inhabitants of the community of Prosperity, led by Thomas Rush, a survivor dedicated to helping other communities get back on their feet. However, this new hope is threatened by the Highwaymen, a violent gang led by the ruthless twins, Mickey and Lou. These two charismatic and cruel antagonists dominated the region, imposing their will through brute force and terror. They seek to dominate resources and subdue any form of resistance.

The graphic quality of Far Cry: New Dawn it's impressive. Ubisoft has managed to create a visually stunning world where nature flourishes amidst destruction. Each scenario is richly detailed. The setting is one of the game's strong points. Ubisoft continues to demonstrate its ability to create compelling and captivating worlds. Hope County has risen from the ashes with a wild and dangerous beauty, and exploring this environment is a fascinating experience.

The sound effects of Far Cry: New Dawn They are of high quality, contributing to the player's immersion. Every sound, from the rustling of leaves to the firing of improvised weapons, is carefully crafted. The game's soundtrack is adequate and conveys a feeling of hope, which is understandable given the post-apocalyptic setting. However, she isn't particularly memorable or captivating.

For fans of Far Cry 5, revisiting locations in a post-apocalyptic setting is a fascinating experience. Seeing how the world has changed and exploring the ruins of what was once familiar adds a layer of depth to the narrative. The scarcity and improvement mechanics of the Prosperity community are satisfying. Foraging for supplies and resources to power Prosperity creates a sense of progress and accomplishment, encouraging players to explore the world.

The voice acting is a significant weak point. The quality of dubbing in Far Cry: New Dawn is inferior, which compromises the immersion and emotional connection with the characters. The enemies' artificial intelligence is disappointing. Enemies often seem unaware of the player, even when they are very close, resulting in a loss of realism and challenge. The game's menu is confusing and poorly designed. Compared to the well-crafted interface of Far Cry 5, New Dawn It has a horrible layout that makes navigation and resource management difficult.

The characters are poorly presented, with superficial and repetitive dialogues. The script lacks depth, making it difficult to create a connection with the characters and the story. The ending of the plot is challenging, but lacks emotional impact. The death of characters does not provoke any feelings. The villains, Mickey and Lou, have an exaggerated personality that goes beyond the comic, which diminishes the seriousness of the narrative. The impression that remains is that New Dawn was made just to complete the story of Far Cry 5.

Far Cry New Dawn is a visually stunning game with a captivating setting and satisfying gameplay mechanics. However, significant flaws like weak voice acting, poor artificial intelligence, and a confusing menu detract from the overall experience. The narrative, despite having interesting moments, suffers from a lack of depth and characters that are not very captivating. For fans of the series, there's still plenty to enjoy, but New Dawn doesn't reach the same level of excellence as its predecessors.
